Mårten Sandén

MÅRTEN SANDÉN was born in 1962 and lives in Stockholm. He is a full-time author and songwriter, but has a degree in psychology and a B.A. in social sciences. He is a member of the Swedish Academy of Crime Fiction and the Swedish Academy of Children’s Books and sits on the jury for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. He has written around fifty children’s and young adult books, for which he has received several prestigious awards, and is best known for The Petrini Detectives. He made his adult debut in September 2025 with SMOKE AND MIRRORS, an irreverent cozy crime and the first in the Deckerduon series set in the Stockholm publishing world.
