Kimberly Whittam

Kimberly Whittam is an acclaimed children’s writer from Manchester, UK. She works in secondary education and is passionate about giving young people in Manchester space on the bookshelf.

Her debut middle-grade, Quiet Storm (2023) is a tender, empowering novel about family, friendship and finding confidence in who you are. It sold in a 5-way auction to Usborne and soared high since publication with multiple award-winnings and shortlistings, including The Sports Book Award 2024 in association with Waterstones and James Reckitt Children’s Book Award, as well as being featured on the coveted 2024 Book Buzz list and Empathy Lab lists. It was also twice chosen as Read Manchester’s transition book, with thousands of copies distributed to children across the city.

Kimberly’s second novel, Always Angel, is an empowering middle-grade novel about second chances, friendship and finding the courage to rewrite your story. It will be published by Usborne in Spring 2026.
