Barbara Barbieri

Barbara studied Contemporary Italian Literature in Milan and, after living in Spain, she moved to London to become Programme Manager at Book Aid International. She then worked in the Press Office at Rizzoli in Italy and later became foreign rights agent at Italian multimedia agency Atlantyca. She joined Andrew Nurnberg Associates in London in 2012, selling adult fiction and non-fiction titles across different territories, and became a Director of Andrew Nurnberg Associates Milan in 2024.

Barbara is the primary agent for several bestselling and awarded Italian fiction authors, and has been a founding member of the Festival of Italian Literature in London. She loves speaking about agenting at the Holden School in Turin and at the Publishing Masters of the University of Florence. She is fluent in Spanish and French and reads Portuguese.
