Deborah Install

Birmingham-based Deborah is the author of international bestseller A Robot in the Garden, and a series of subsequent A Robot in… titles. A Robot in the Garden has been translated into more than a dozen languages and been adapted for radio, graphic novel, for film by Warner Bros. Japan, and hit musical by Shiki Theatre Company, also in Japan. Deborah enjoys writing up-lit with an element of social commentary, and is working on further novels in this genre. She is also a developing playwright, a discipline which leans into her love of theatre, in which she is heavily involved both on stage and backstage. In addition to theatre, her hobbies include burlesque, sewing and video gaming. She likes to read across a variety of genres, but is especially partial to historical mysteries.
