A ROBOT IN THE GARDEN shortlisted for Der Leserpreis 2016

15th November, 2016

Many congratulations to Deborah Install, whose warm-hearted debut novel, A ROBOT IN THE GARDEN (Transworld, 2015/ Sourcebooks, 2016), about the unlikely friendship between a man and a very unusual little robot, has been shortlisted for the German award Der Leserpreis 2016, in the Best Audio Book category, following publication by Fischer in July this year.  To date, rights to the title have been sold in the US, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Poland, Spain and Turkey.

Established in 2009, Der Leserpreis celebrates the best titles published in Germany each year, over
fourteen categories.  Voted for by the public, the top thirty-five titles in each category make up the shortlist and readers are encouraged to cast their votes for up to three titles in each category.  Voting is open until 22nd November, with the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners announced two days later on the 24th.

Take a look at the shortlisted titles and cast your votes for A ROBOT IN THE GARDEN on the LovelyBooks website before voting closes in a week’s time!
