Best selling Russian author Vadim Panov was born on 15th of November 1972 into a military family. His father was moved from country to country, so the whole family moved too - and Vadim changed schools often, returning to Moscow in 1983, where he finally spent three years in the same school!
In 1989 he enrolled at the aircraft Radio Electronics department at the famed Moscow Aviation Institute, gaining his Diploma as a Radio Engineer in 1995. Whilst there, he became heavily involved in a well-known student theatre, The Mirror, and had a play, Such Games, staged there in 1994. Also while at the Institute he met Natalya and they had two daughters, Paulinka, born in 2001 - the year he created THE SECRET CITY, and Ira, born in 2005.
