Julian was born in Swansea South Wales.
At eighteen he went off to train as a lawyer in London before spending some time in both Denmark and Israel. On his eventual return he entered the world of Academia lecturing law. This was not to be a lifelong commitment as some years later he found himself managing Legal Services Commission Contracts for the Not For Profit Sector.
